Create your own Blues lyrics! Here are the steps:
1) Begin with two rhyming words. For example, you might use “frog” and “log”
2) Write three simple sentences. The first two lines can repeat.
I saw a frog.
I saw a frog.
It sat on a log.
3) Add more to the lyrics. When? Where? How? What did it look like? Make sure the rhyming word still is at the end of the phrase.
I was walking on a trail and I saw a little green frog.....
I said, I was walking on a trail and I saw a cute, little green frog.
It was hard to find because it sat on a really big log.
4) Try speaking your words with the Blues music above. Each line of text should last the same amount of time as the line of music on the left. Don't move down to your second sentence until the video moves down.
5) Now try singing your words! Improvise a melody that you think sounds good with the chords above!
